Contemplating one sunny autumn afternoon what to do and where to go by our favorite mode of transportation – our bicycles – we found ourselves puzzled by the challenge of finding a proper spot to park the bicycles at our destination, while we did what we went there to do. The dilemma we personally faced as well as some impromptu research on the Internet revealed that we had bumped into the proverbial Pink Elephant of bicycling reality – parking.

The events captured in the above excerpt from the “VeloParc™ Bicycle Infrastructure Whitepaper” truly mark the beginning of the mental journey that culminated in the inception of VeloParc™. Where do you go when the answers to an apparent riddle cannot even be found on Wikipedia? We went within. The flood of life giving ideas, dreams and contemplations triggered by a seemingly insignificant detail of an otherwise throughly enjoyable activity swept us away into a world we didn’t even know existed. And so, as a new found friend put it simply, we unexpectedly became bicycling professionals, who would have thought.

We hope that our unique way of tackling challenges, our combined fifty plus years of experience in various fields of corporate and entrepreneurial vocations, our ability and commitment to work as hard as we play and our deep believe in everything that is good and true in the world will enable us to grow VeloParc™ into the blossoming entity we have imagined. We embrace the humor in the fact that our contribution to furthering and promoting a bicycling life style might be the time when you are not … bicycling.
